Maternity sessions work best unhurried. We pick a time of day when the light is soft and you feel good, and we keep it relaxed. No awkward posing, just you and the people who are waiting with you.

We'll talk wardrobe and location beforehand, so you show up knowing what to expect. Bring your partner, your older kids, the dog. This season has a lot of people in it, and they belong in the frame.

An option worth knowing about: a few rolls of real film. The grain and warmth of analog suit this moment, and the frames live alongside your digital gallery.

Common questions

When should we schedule a maternity session?
Usually somewhere between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is clearly there but you're still comfortable moving around. If you're not sure, tell me your due date and we'll find the right window.
What does a maternity session cost?
Maternity sessions start at $450. You'll get a straight number, with albums and wall art available as add-ons.
Where do we shoot?
On location across the Sierra Nevada foothills and Greater Sacramento, indoors or out. Soft evening light outdoors, or somewhere meaningful to you. I'll suggest spots if you'd like.
Can my partner and kids be in it?
Please bring them. The session is about this season of your life, and the people in it belong in the frame.
Can we add film?
Yes. A few rolls of real film suit maternity especially well. It's an add-on to the session, alongside your full digital gallery.
